Sports Betting Picks Extra 03-17-2017  Cincinnati Bearcats (29-5) at Kansas State Wildcats (21-13)

The Kansas State Wildcats and Cincinnati Bearcats meet Friday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the Golden 1 Center.

The Kansas State Wildcats look for another big victory after beating the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in the play-in game Tuesday night. The Kansas State Wildcats are averaging 71.7 points on 45.8 percent shooting and allowing 66.9 points on 42.5 percent shooting. Wesley Iwundu is averaging 12.5 points and 6.4 rebounds while Barry Brown is averaging 11.7 points and 2.4 assists. Kamau Stokes is the third double-digit scorer and D.J. Johnson is grabbing 5.8 rebounds. The Kansas State Wildcats are shooting 36.1 percent from beyond the arc and 68.9 percent from the free throw line. The Kansas State Wildcats are allowing 38.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 30.4 rebounds per game. The Kansas State Wildcats have won three of their last five games on neutral sites.

The Cincinnati Bearcats ended the season winning 17 of their last 20 games and lost to the SMU Mustangs in the AAC Tournament. The Cincinnati Bearcats are averaging 74.5 points on 45.5 percent shooting and allowing 60.8 points on 38.5 percent shooting. Jacob Evans is averaging 13.7 points and 2.6 assists while Kyle Washington is averaging 13.1 points and 6.9 rebounds. Gary Clark is the third double-digit scorer and Troy Caupain is grabbing 4.5 rebounds. The Cincinnati Bearcats are shooting 34.4 percent from beyond the arc and 68.3 percent from the free throw line. The Cincinnati Bearcats are allowing 34 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 37.2 rebounds per game. The Cincinnati Bearcats have won three of their last four games on neutral sites.

The Bearcats are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 neutral site games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Wildcats are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 neutral site games and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The under is 10-4 in Wildcats last 14 non-conference games and the over is 5-1-1 in Bearcats last 7 neutral site games.

The Kansas State Wildcats killed me Tuesday night, as I was confident in Wake Forest, but the Demon Deacons couldn’t get a stop on the defensive side of the ball. Despite how they played in the opener, the Wildcats aren’t nearly that good offensively. The Cincinnati Bearcats have the defense to keep KSU in check and they have the slightly better offense with Clark and Caupain leading the way. I still think the Wildcats are a middle of the road Big 12 team that’s not that special. Cincinnati is better at both ends and has a nice rest advantage, so I’ll eat the bucket.
