Sports Betting Picks 03-30-2017 Georgia Tech Vs. TCU
Sports Betting Picks 03-30-2017
The NIT Championship game is underway this week as the #6 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (21 – 15) take on the #4 TCU Horned Frogs (23 – 15). This game will be played at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY and will feature solid competition from the ACC and the Big 12. Georgia Tech just bullied their way past #8 CSU Bakersfield while TCU is coming off of a win over #4 UCF. TCU and Georgia Tech are both pretty evenly matched so this championship game should be close the whole way through.
TCU is led, of course, by the play of star forward Vladimir Brodziansky (14 PPG, 6 RPG). Brodziansky went 18/9 against UCF last week and he’ll try to keep that momentum going forward. TCU is scoring 74 PPG on offense this season while shooting 46% from the field as a team. TCU is giving up just 68 PPG to opposing teams on defense this year.
Georgia Tech will follow the lead of their star freshman guard Josh Okogie (16 PPG, 5 RPG). Okogie went for 22 points and 9 boards against CSU Bakersfield. Georgia Tech is scoring 68 PPG on offense this year while shooting 44% from the field as a team. The Yellow Jackets are better on defense than anywhere else as GT is holding opposing teams to just 62 PPG this season.
Recent Betting Trends:
Yellow Jackets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games.
Horned Frogs are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 neutral site games.
Under is 4-0 in Yellow Jackets last 4 vs. Big 12.
Over is 5-1 in Horned Frogs last 6 neutral site games.
Yellow Jackets will slow down the pace and make this a lower scoring game as they know they don’t want to run with TCU. TCU is also not nearly as good at games that are slowed down to becoming a half court game.
